Build
An app, when a website will not do
Half the apps we are asked to build should be a mobile web page. We say that in the first call, before anyone has spent money.
We will tell you if you do not need an app
§ 01 / 06The problem
Built, shipped, never opened again
An app that people install once and forget is worse than no app: it carries maintenance, store reviews, and an update treadmill for nothing.
Businesses with a repeat-use case: booking, field work, loyalty, or internal tools.
- The main use is something customers do a few times a year
- The app duplicates the website with fewer features
- Nobody has written down what a returning user comes back to do
§ 02 / 06What you get
What is included
- Use-case test
- Whether an app is the right answer at all
Part of the free build plan, not a paid engagement.
- Platforms
- iOS and Android from one codebase
React Native.
- Store release
- Submission, review handling, and store listing
- Analytics
- Retention and repeat use, not install counts
- Updates
- Over-the-air where the stores allow it
Not sure which parts you need? Take the free build plan and we will tell you which to skip.
§ 03 / 06Timeline
How the work is sequenced
Each stage ends with something you can check. If a stage cannot end that way, it is scoped wrong and we re-cut it.
- 01
Build plan · 30 minutes
We test whether the use case repeats often enough to need an app.
- 02
Discovery · 3 working days
Screens, data, and the one action a returning user opens the app to do.
- 03
First release · 6 to 9 weeks
A narrow app that does the repeat action well, in the stores.
- 04
Retention work · Ongoing
We measure what brings people back and cut what does not.
§ 04 / 06Commitments
What we hold ourselves to
§ 05 / 06Price
Starts at $32,000
Number of screens, offline requirements, and payment or booking integrations.
§ 01 / 01Questions
Before you ask us
Do we really need an app?
Often not. If your customers act a few times a year, a fast mobile site wins on cost and on reach. We answer this before you commit to anything.
Who owns the developer accounts?
You do. The apps are published under your company account, not ours, so nothing depends on our relationship continuing.

Read on the topic
Cases will appear here as clients clear the numbers for publication. We would rather show nothing than show something invented.
